The pair had sent players home from across the uk. Stephen Arliss reached the last 8, Robert Swift and Mark Johnson picked up valuable ranking points. ***This comes just a week after the paring had beaten all comers in the Yorkshire County Trials.***Joe reaches last 8 in Grantham 4*Cadet Graded***Ben Barlow youngest player ever to represent his County's Senior Side***Tom Duncan, Damian Piper win place in Yorkshire Juniors team***Well done Joe Dunn, unbeaten for the 2nd year running in the Yorkshire County Cadet trials***Good luck everyone who's competing in the Grantham 4star this coming weekend***Nat Cadet Lge Big success, thanks George, Lorraine & everyone else that helped on the day. League starts next week!***Please make sure you've paid your Subs this includes: Local League, Cadet Lge, National Junior Lge, Senior British Lge. The Club has large overheads which will leave a deficit if subs are not paid on time.***British League-Mixed fortunes for the 'A' team with three wins and then a 6-2 defeat against Elgre, well done everyone especially new boy Abhijit Darshane winning 2 from 4 on his debut. Darren Lindley was undefeated on Sat, Ben Barlow & Luke Carrington won 6 from 8 over the wk end. The B team found the going as tough as last year with four heavy defeats. Winning sets came from Stephen Arliss, Tom Duncan (debut) & Joe Dunn with 4 excellent wins over much higher ranked opposition (see Tournament Page for team selection)***Tom Knowles won the Dearne Valley Approved Tournament, the event was organised by newly qualified 'Tournament Organiser' George Brooks***D.Valley Training Camp big success, thanks to everyone involved.***Final Summer Lge Tables on L.League page***Next TT Session is on Mon 9th Aug at Dearne Valley College***Scarborogh trip another massive success. Thanks to everyone for coming and getting involved. On the T.T. event: well done the more experienced junior players for more then matching Scarborough's best Adults. For all the 1st timers, valiant effort; work hard in training & well have 'em next year. The football match showed the usual Scorpions' talent (wot no broken bones?). Rounders: well Ben & Joe we might bring the boxing gloves next year, or should it be handbags? Alan Dunn was definitely the man of the match, I understand he's had a call from the 'Redsocks'. Results in the new event for this year 'the leakiest tent' comp was won by The 'Elements'. The Campsite Pool comp is being scrutinised by the Pool Governing Body (i.e. the Right Hon. Jason Dunn, Esq.) as rules were bent to breaking point by the eventual winners Peter 'any team will do' Morgan & Ben 'want mi name on mi shirt' Barlow - We want everyone there next summer; so kids make sure ya put in on your mums diary; Majorca will have to wait! ***Sat training cancelled for 3 weeks from 24th July-due to Scarborough match & holidays.
